All Together Now is recruiting two people for our volunteer board of Directors.
Company Secretary
The Company Secretary is responsible for leading the organisation’s governance activities by:
- Directing the business affairs of the company by implementing the decisions of the board of directors
- Act as adviser to the directors of the company
- Liaise with auditors, lawyers, and tax advisers
- Attend and take minutes of directors’ and members’ meetings
- Prepare financial reports, budgets and forecasts
- Negotiate the terms of new business contracts
- Assess and arrange insurance cover for the company
- Administer the company’s superannuation policy
- Ensure that all returns required are submitted
- Ensure the company meets its compliance obligations under relevant laws and the requirements of regulatory authorities
- Supervise financial administration including preparation of financial statements

Director of Community Campaigns
All Together Now’s Director with expertise in Community Campaigns is responsible for leading the organisation’s grassroots activities. As a nationally-focussed organisation, All Together Now plans to extend its grassroots activity in each state. The Director will lead this growth by:
- Acting as community campaigns adviser to the Directors of the company and the Public Fund management committee
- Assessing the needs of the organisation as it pertains to local grassroots activity and developing a Community Campaigns plan for approval by the board – timing to be negotiated
- Overseeing the organisation’s grassroots activities, including:
- Ensuring grassroots activities are adequately resourced so they are capable of achieving maximum impact
- Ensuring grassroots activities are in line with All Together Now’s strategic goals and reflect well on the organisation’s brand
- Coordinating and provide support to local leaders who are managing All Together Now activities in their community
- Ensuring local activists are recognised for their efforts
- Working with all Directors to determine their contribution/role in grassroots activities
- Meeting and liaising with local leaders and allies
