The One Parramatta project, funded by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, provides young people with information about how to speak up when they witness racism in the community and encourages them to reflect on their behaviour towards people of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.
The ‘One Parramatta’ project seeks to address interpersonal racism in the Parramatta
area among 18-34 year olds, by interviewing passers-by in the streets. The series of
seven one-minute films are shot in popular retail locations. These vox pops will run at
Parramatta Event Cinemas and on YouTube.
For the next week you can catch One Parramatta on the big screen when you watch Spider-Man or Spider-Man 3D at Parramatta Event Cinema complex. This schedule will change on a weekly basis.
