Alphamale Festival
Cartoon created by R.O.

This cartoon highlights some of the different groups within the manosphere, that may draw people in through the appeal of helping young boys be “better men”. It illustrates the various spaces and sub-ideologies present within the manosphere, often catering to different ideas and perspectives but all sharing the same toxic underlying currents disguised as self-help for young men.

After the Breakup
Cartoon created by R.O.

This cartoon illustrates a scenario in which a young boy develops disrespectful attitudes toward women and girls after seeking help online following a breakup. It shows the concerns his ex, friends and family have about his behaviour as he continues to engage with more extreme and divisive narratives.

Shattered Confidence
Cartoon created by C.Z.

This cartoon shows a young man losing his self-confidence as he gets more involved in the manosphere. What starts as fitness inspiration and people encouraging him to continue this journey, soon develops into hateful and judgmental ideas about women and himself. It ends with a picture showing the impact on women and the feeling many young girls have that nothing has changed in terms of sexism etc.

The Slow Warp
Cartoon created by C.Z.

This cartoon features a young man getting involved in the manosphere after a breakup, rejection and seeing the “success” of male influencers online. It highlights that he was originally drawn into these spaces looking for self-improvement but the content he was exposed too slowly warped over time and devolved into increasingly hateful and extremist narratives.

Getting Out
Cartoon created by C.Z.

This comic shows the parents of a young man talking to him about what he is seeing online. What ends up getting through to him is being shown empathy.

The next time he is in manosphere spaces, he starts questioning the things he is seeing and hearing. He then starts re-engaging with IRL friends through a social football club.
