Much of All Together Now’s work promotes the prevention of interpersonal racism. We do this by educating people about what racism is, and how they can effectively speak out against it.

Australian academic research shows that when a person says something racist, they do so because they overestimate the number of people around them who agree with their point of view. This also helps other witnesses understand that racism is unacceptable. By teaching people how to identify and challenge racism, All Together Now helps to prevent racism from happening again in the future.

All Together Now’s daily work encourages people to speak out. We have also run several large projects encouraging people to speak up, including One Parramatta, Talk About Racism, and Give Racism The Finger.
